Privacy Policy

TAOT is a fixed-payment tracker for iPhone. It is built so that your financial information never leaves your device. This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your data.

The short version: The TAOT app has no account system, never connects to your bank, and stores everything you enter on your own device. It makes no network requests at all. We do not collect or receive your app data. We cannot see what you track. See below for information about past website waitlist signups.

What the app collects

Nothing. TAOT has no servers that receive your app data. We, the developers, have no access to what you enter into the app and no way to identify you through the app.

What stays on your device

Everything you enter is stored locally on your iPhone and is never transmitted to us:

The payments you track — names, amounts, billing cycles and dates
Whether you have marked a payment essential or optional
Payments you have removed, and your recorded monthly totals
Your display name, bio, chosen currency and profile photo

This data is removed when you delete the app, and can be cleared at any time from the You screen. If you have iCloud device backups enabled, your iPhone may include this data in your own encrypted backup — that is between you and Apple, and we have no access to it.

Photo library

If you choose a profile photo, iOS shows you its own picker and hands TAOT only the single image you selected. The app never requests access to your photo library as a whole, and the image you pick is stored on your device only.

Notifications

If you turn on renewal reminders, they are scheduled locally by your iPhone. There is no push server and no push token. Nothing about your payments is transmitted in order to deliver them.

Brand logos and third parties

Every icon in TAOT — brand logos and category marks alike — is bundled inside the app. TAOT makes no network requests of any kind. It contains no networking code, contacts no servers, and does not use the internet even when a connection is available.

There are no third-party SDKs, no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising libraries in the app.

What TAOT does not do

No bank or financial-account connections of any kind
No account, login, or email address required to use the app
No network requests — the app never contacts any server, ours or anyone else's
No analytics, tracking or advertising SDKs
No advertising identifier, and no cross-app or cross-site tracking
No selling or sharing of data with data brokers — there is no data to sell

Children

TAOT is not directed at children under 13. The app does not collect personal information.

Your rights

Because your app data never reaches us, there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete on your behalf. You hold all of it. Clearing your data in the app, or deleting the app, removes it. For a past website waitlist email address, contact us using the address below to request its removal.

Past website waitlist signups

This website no longer accepts waitlist signups. Email addresses submitted before launch remain in a separate, access-controlled database and are used only for the promised launch announcement. They are not connected to the app or linked to any app data, and are not sold or shared with advertising companies. You can ask us to remove your address at any time.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it. Material changes will be noted here.
